Frankie has been a cigar aficionado in New York City for many years, enjoying the pleasures of smoking a good cigar combined with socializing with like-minded friends. When Frankie and his wife, Ursula, moved to the Smoky Mountains in the Spring of 2006, he had already been dreaming about opening his own Cigar Shop. Of course, he had to also include a space for an ambient TV lounge area.
In search for a quaint, friendly town in the mountains that did not have a cigar shop, but needed one, they stumbled upon the Historic little town of Waynesville. This picturesque town, well known for their art galleries, mountain decor shops and many yearly festivals, including the world famous Folkmoot, was perfect. Wanting to be close to Historic Main Street, yet tucked away in a private setting, in the fall of 2006, Good Ol' Days Cigars found its home on Main Street, across from the Mast General Store, but tucked away downstairs below the Nest.
Customers come from all over the country to visit Frankie and get his "expert advice" on cigars and the scoop on the latest happenings in Waynesville. Frankie's all spanish cedar humidor is the man's perfect "candy store" and of course, Frankie has a comfortable TV lounge area equipped with plush leather chairs, plenty of ashtrays and a state-of-the-art ventilation system.
Come to Waynesville for the mountains, the festivals and the shops, but don't forget to go down and visit Frankie and indulge in one of life's simple pleasures... a great cigar !
